As Head of Legal, you will be the legal backbone of the company and a trusted partner to the CEO, executive team, and board. In a highly regulated and fast-evolving space like fintech and DeFi, your guidance will directly shape the entire company.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and lead the company’s global legal function, covering corporate, regulatory, commercial, and product legal matters.
• Advise leadership on fintech, banking, payments, crypto-assets, and DeFi regulations, including MiCA and jurisdiction-specific frameworks.
• Support licensing, regulatory filings, and ongoing interactions with regulators and supervisory authorities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
• Provide legal oversight for new products, features, and market launches, ensuring compliance is embedded by design.
• Manage external counsel across multiple jurisdictions and optimize legal spend.
• Support corporate governance, board matters, fundraising, and shareholder relations.
• Build scalable legal processes, templates, and internal policies to support rapid growth.

Your Skills and Experience

• Proven experience as Head of Legal, Senior Legal Counsel, or Lawyer, or equivalent in fintech, financial services, crypto, or a regulated tech environment.
• Strong understanding of financial regulation, digital banking, payments, and/or DeFi ecosystems.
• Experience working with regulators and supervisory bodies across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to balance legal rigor with commercial pragmatism in a fast-moving startup.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity, scaling environments, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
